Getting a job is a great decision that comes with many benefits and has a better impact on your life.

Some may not give you the salary you expect but working in these sectors enriches your experience and skills and it enables you to earn an income rather than relying on relatives for money which is better than being idle.
Teaching in a private school for example is a great start. It increases your experience, especially if you want to pursue a career in teaching or education, you also acquire skills such as interpersonal communication, leadership, organization, and many more which build your CV, confidence and prepare you for the outside world. Similar to getting a job, starting your own business is a great leap in becoming an entrepreneur. Some might think they are too young to start their own business but that is a wrong thought. Setting up your own business is not limited to age.
It is up to you to analyze and determine the demand of the public which you can get with your capital. Parents or other relatives can assist you with your capital to start. You can start with setting up a small-scale enterprise, starting a café, etc.
One advantage of owning your own business is that it can generate income while you tend to do something different or further your education.
Taking good care of your business booms it in the near future where you enjoy the fruit of your labour even after school while others are working.

There’s no doubt that the world is rapidly evolving which calls for new skills related to its demand. Staying at home should serve as an opportunity to learn new skills to get along with the world.
To broaden the range of your skills. You could be interested in a topic that your desired tertiary institution currently offers. In the profession or business, you wish to enter, look for courses that are appropriate.
These skills can be acquired through the internet, reading books, practising, and many more.
For instance, if you wish to study IT at the tertiary level, it is crucial that you start learning IT-related skills such as coding, web or app development, etc. which makes you geared before you start your IT course, making learning easier and putting you ahead of others.
You should not always limit your skills learning to your field only. It is necessary to learn skills from other fields making you versatile.
