
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the timetable for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which is scheduled to begin on Monday, 7th August 2023.
According to the timetable released by WAEC, the examination will commence at 9:00 AM prompt on Monday, 7th August 2023, with the English Language paper.
The BECE is a standardized test taken by students in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia at the end of their junior secondary education. It is an important exam as it is used to determine which students are eligible to proceed to senior secondary school.
The exam will run for five days, with each day having a different set of subjects to be written. The final paper, which is Religious and Moral Education, will be written on Friday, 11th August 2023.
It is important for all candidates to note that the timetable released by WAEC is final and cannot be changed. Therefore, all candidates are advised to prepare adequately for the exam using the timetable as a guide.
In addition, candidates are also advised to adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols during the exam to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all.
WAEC has assured all stakeholders that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a hitch-free examination exercise. Candidates are therefore advised to focus on their studies and prepare well for the exams.
