The University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana’s premier university, is one of the top universities in the country and arguably the most desirable tertiary institution here in Ghana. The university offers a variety of courses. Each year, a large number of final-year SHS students apply to Legon, making it somewhat difficult to get admission into the university if you do not make the cutoff point for the course you chose.

WASSCE Entry Requirements for Students with General Arts Background – University of Ghana, Legon

Below are the WASSCE requirements for General Arts students.

1. Credit Passes (A1-C6) in all Core Subjects (WASSCE)- The University of Ghana will admit students to science-based courses using their results for Core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science and for humanity courses; Core English, Core Mathematics and Social Studies. All of which are core subjects.
   
2. Credit Passes in Elective Subjects- The university computes your total aggregate using your best three elective subjects and three core subjects, depending on what course you will like to do in the university.
