Are you a University of Ghana freshman? Are you yet to apply to University of Ghana, Legon and you are thinking of accommodation? You are in luck then, as we will be taking a look at the halls of residence and private hostels on the Legon campus, and how to get accommodation.
University of Ghana, Legon is the oldest and one of the highest-ranked universities in Ghana and West Africa. Legon is a top student favourite. Each year, Legon admits thousands of students and this sometimes makes accommodation a bit difficult to get. Due to this, it is advisable to be sure of what hall or hostel you will like to be in, so that as soon as it is time for application, you do not waste any time.
The university of Ghana has 13 halls of residence and 4 private hostels on the main Legon campus:
Traditional halls are found on the University of Ghana’s Main Campus and are very close to the various lecture halls.
The Diaspora Halls are four separate buildings adjacent to each other. Located near the Noguchi Memorial Center and the University of Ghana Medical centre.
These halls are found between the traditional halls and the diaspora halls.
Below are the steps to take in applying for a hostel/residence on Legon campus
