Eligibility for Chinese GOVT Scholarship for Ghanaians

To apply for the 2022 Chinese government scholarship programme for Masters or PhD, you need to meet the following;

1. You must be a Ghanaian citizen, resident in Ghana
2. If you are applying for a Master’s degree programme, you must have a first degree (at least 2nd Class Upper or better) in the relevant field of study
3. If you are applying for Doctoral studies, you should have at least 2nd Class (Upper) and a relevant Master’s degree in the related/relevant field of study
4. You must not be above 35 years of age for the  Master’s Degree and 40 years for the Doctoral studies
5. You must be medically fit
6. Women are encouraged to apply

How to Apply for the Chinese GOVT Scholarship

Below is a step by step guide to applying for the Chinese government scholarship

1. Visit the Chinese Scholarships Council (CSC) website  campuschina.org in a web browser, preferably Google Chrome
2. Click on the “Scholarship Application for Students” button
3. Commence the scholarship application process
4. You may be required to continue through the Ghana Scholarship Secretariate

Kindly note: The Programme Category is “Type A” and the Agency Number of the Scholarships Secretariat required to facilitate the application process is 2881. 

Submission to the Ghana Scholarship Secretariate

You should apply in writing and submit a hard copy of the completed Application Form and requisite attachments such as certified copies of your academic certificates and transcript, Study plan and Research proposal of 800 words as well as 2 recommendation letters from Professors or Associate Professors, Copy of birth certificate, One (1) passport size photograph, Copy of National Service Certificate, Curriculum Vitae, recent bio-data of passport with validity later than March 1, 2023, and as well as Foreign Physical Examination Form to the address below:
