   Achimota senior high school was founded on the 28th of January 1927 by Gordon Guggisberg, James Emman Kwegyir Aggrey and Alec Garden Fraser. Achimota Senior High is a mixed school that can boast of many influential old students including the late former president JJ Rawlings and his wife Nana Kunadu Agyeman Rawlings.
